The community Flachau (2639 inhabitants, 920m above sea level) is located in the Salzburger Land in the district St. Johann im Pongau. The village is provided in one of the biggest ski-areas in Austria, the ski-world Amadé.
In winter Flachau offers a world class skiing area, the ski-world Amadé. Aside of skiing are alternatives like cross-country skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking and ski-tours along the offerings.
In summer Flachau has a wide range of hiking – and bicycle trails, a bathing lake for hot summer days. For more adventure-seeker climbing, the high rope-course, canyoning and rafting are the better choice.
